So, yes, I am no longer posting here, but I am exercising very regularly again! However, with that exercise, I am beginning to have frequent pelvic/groin pain and sometimes other issues...
Anyhow, I am waiting for a referral from my doc to see and specialist, but I was wondering if any of you ladies have had pelvic prolapse issues after having babies. My doctor wouldn't officially diagnose me because she isn't a specialist, but indicated that might be my problem.

Kelly, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "pelvic prolapse". I'm familiar with uterine prolapse, but I doubt that's what you are experiencing. A complete uterine prolapse is when the uterus falls into the vagina, and is an emergency because of the risk of infection. It often results in a hysterectomy.
ReplyDeleteApparently there are some variations on the theme that aren't quite so serious; try looking here: http://www.solutionsforvaginalprolapse.com/what-is-vaginal-prolapse/
I'm also familiar with rectoceles, which may just be a less problematic version of prolapse. You can read about those here: http://www.fascrs.org/patients/conditions/rectocele/
Sorry you're dealing with this. Good luck getting answers!
Well, it turns out it isn't that. Thank goodness. Now they think it is just a good old-fashioned muscle injury to the groin. Makes more sense. I think they jumped to conclusions because I've had 4 children.
